Oxford – Friday 18th March 2016 – A new study conducted by a team from Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany shows e-ASPECTS performs as well as stroke experts and better than trainees. The study compared their performance to e-ASPECTS when assessing brain CT scans of acute ischemic stroke patients using the ASPECTS method (Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score).

The results of this study have been published in the International Journal of Stroke. Click here to view.

Dr Michalis Papadakis, Brainomix CEO, stated “This news moves our company one step closer to our ultimate goal, that of creating a new future for neuroradiologists and neurologists around the world when assessing acute ischemic stroke patients. We are able to demonstrate the value of our e ASPECTS solution by comparing its performance to expert physicians. Making such complicated treatment decisions will always require the human factor but being able to assist such professionals in their day-to-day activities fills us with both pride and responsibility. We are all aiming to improve the lives of stroke patients.”
