A study illustrating the potential benefits of e-ASPECTS when integrated with Mobile Stroke Units was recently published in the Cerebrovascular Diseases Journal by Professor Iris Grunwald et al. The study was conducted by the original inventors of the Mobile Stroke Unit at Saarland University, in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University and Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, with the participation of Brainomix.
The study shows that the integration of e-ASPECTS into pre-hospital stroke management via a Mobile Stroke Unit is feasible and aids decision making regarding treatment option and triage of patients to the most appropriate target hospital.
Brainomix CEO, Dr. Michalis Papadakis stated: “We know that in stroke ‘Time is Brain’. We are proud that with the integration of our e-ASPECTS software for automated detection of acute ischemic damage we can now offer a unique solution for both in-hospital and pre-hospital care, enabling professionals around the world to make the best use of every minute.”
